Automatically calculate and accurately dispense the required amount of flux to the sample with a flux dosing dispenser. Two operating modes make it easy to accommodate your dispensing needs. Select absolute mode for high-accuracy flux dosing and weighing; relative mode lets you obtain a desired flux/sample ratio by weighing your sample then adding flux to the desired ratio. Silo is provided to facilitate flux reloading, while minimizing contamination and moisture exposure. Weight data can be transferred to most LIMS systems over standard communication protocols.

Dynamic Temperature Profile (DTP) control and automatic power calibration help maintain excellent temperature uniformity across all six positions. The Cole-Parmer® hydraulic laboratory pellet press is an automatic and fully programmable pellet press designed for repetitive pressing of sample pellets for XRF, IR, and other analytical techniques. This press can also be operated manually as a simple motorized press whose functions are under direct user control.

The programmable LCD touch-screen interface allows the use to program the final desired pressure, time to hold at final pressure, and interval to return back to zero pressure. Safety features include a safety interlock that holds the door of the chamber in a locked position during operation and an automatic pump shut-off safety valve to ensure the safety of users.

Freezer/Mill®

The Freezer/Mill® programmable cryogenic grinder pulverizes through the toughest samples at cryogenic temperatures. Samples are placed in a vial and immersed in a self-contained insulated liquid nitrogen (LN2) tub, reaching cryogenic temperatures in minutes, where they are then pulverized with a magnetically driven impactor. The closed grinding vial impactor prevents sample cross-contamination. The single grinding and cooling chamber allows you to pre-cool and grind two sets of samples simultaneously.

Grind temperature sensitive samples while maintaining constant temperature, as the sample never leaves the enclosed liquid nitrogen bath. Enhanced safety features include a liquid nitrogen sensor and lid interlock. If the lid is opened while in process, grinding will stop. Auto-fill system is available for automated liquid nitrogen filling.

The HG-600 Geno/Grinder® 2010 high-throughput homogenizer and cell lyser is designed for rapid cell disruption of plant and animal tissue through bead beating. This process offers fast and efficient extraction of nucleic acids, proteins, and other molecules. Samples can be processes with or without reagents in approximately 60 seconds or less.

An adjustable clamp features unique vigorous vertical grinding motion allowing increased reproducibility, superior extraction efficiency, and consistency of every sample. The clamp can accommodate a full range of sample vials from 2 to 50 mL centrifuge tubes or up to six deep-well microplates. Cryogenic accessories (sold separately) are available to allow you to homogenize temperature-sensitive samples such as proteins and RNA.
